Closing the Year 2025 - New Heights, New Dreams

Sometimes it’s not the big arenas, the packed grandstands, or the podium finishes that are most memorable. Sometimes it’s a quiet training day – just the horses, a single jump, and that one feeling that something truly special is happening. That’s exactly how my final training session in 2025 on Mallorca felt.

Reaching New Heights
In this last training session of the year, I approached something with both of my horses, King and O’Brian, that for a long time had felt like a distant goal: new heights. For the very first time, I jumped 1.50 m – and even 1.55 m. Not in a full course, but over a single fence, fully focused on technique, feel, and trust.
O’Brian, my new and just six-year-old horse, and I tackled 1.50 m for the first time. The jump felt calm, powerful, and with an amazing feeling of security. We had only competed together for the first time in mid-December at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (MET) in Oliva, which made this training moment even more special. Feeling how much potential, trust, and quality already lies within this young horse was truly impressive.
King, my experienced competition partner, allowed me to take another step forward: 1.55 m. King has already jumped up to 1.80 m this year and brings exactly the kind of experience, composure, and confidence that are invaluable in moments like these. Until now, my highest jump was 1.40 m – experiencing this new dimension was simply overwhelming.
With both horses, it felt as if we were flying over the fence. No pressure, no distractions – just rhythm, power, and that special partnership that can’t be planned. In that moment, I knew: all the work, patience, and countless small steps had been worth it.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead
This final training session on Mallorca was more than just the conclusion of the year. It was a quiet yet powerful moment – an exclamation mark after a year that has shaped me. A year filled with firsts and valuable lessons.
From team gold at the South African Youth Championships, to the CSI4*-W Longines São Paulo, South America's largest and most prestigious international indoor showjumping competition, followed by three fault-free days and a victory at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, then more than 100 riders on the start list in Seville and a sensational podium finish at the CSN4* Ciudad de Sevilla, and finally the Balearic Championships, where I competed as the defending champion and secured the Vice Champion title.
Every step, every competition, and every challenge helped me grow – as a rider, mentally, and personally. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me in 2025 – my horses, my team, my family, and everyone who believes in me.
2025 ends with new heights, great emotions, and even bigger dreams. And one thing I already know for sure: this is only the beginning.
