From October 3rd to 5th, I had the opportunity to compete with King in the Complementarias classes at the 1.20 m height as part of the Ctos. de España de Saltos during the renowned Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera. Three exciting competition days filled with sunshine, a great atmosphere, and top-level show jumping!

Solid Starts and Consistent Performance
The start of the tournament went exceptionally well. King was focused and motivated right from the beginning. The courses were challenging, featuring tricky combinations and tight turns that required a high level of precision. But King and I worked perfectly together. We stayed focused and motivated throughout, which I could feel in every round. We handled all challenges confidently — fault-free and with great joy, finishing 10th and 11th in the first two classes.
A Big Success in the Two-Phase Jumping
The highlight of the weekend was our victory on Sunday in the 1.20 m two-phase jumping class. The course demanded not only courage but also precise timing and quick decisions. I especially mastered the tight turn after the third-to-last obstacle very precisely, allowing us to approach the penultimate and final jump in perfect canter rhythm. This precise and tactically smart line helped us gain the crucial seconds needed. The result: an amazing 1st place and a perfect finale to this successful tournament week.
Conclusion – A Weekend to Enjoy and Learn From
The Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera was an important stop in my competition season, and I am incredibly happy about King’s strong performance. We showed that we are growing together as a team in the arena and are right up there with the best, even in strong competition.
I’m already looking forward to the upcoming tournaments and to continuing to improve step by step.
