What a weekend! From November 7th to 9th, I had the chance to compete with King at the CSN4* Ciudad de Sevilla – one of Spain’s most beautiful and traditional tournaments, held alongside the Cto. España Veteranos. But actually, the adventure started much earlier – with a lot of uncertainty.

A Week of Waiting – Then the Relief
Until Monday, November 3rd, it was still unclear whether King and I would even be allowed to start. We were on the waiting list and could only hope. Then – finally – the confirmation came. The relief was huge! Just a few days later, we found ourselves in the stunning surroundings of Seville, ready for three exciting competition days
Friday – 1.20 m: A Perfect Start
Our tournament kickoff couldn’t have gone better. King was focused, fresh, and motivated – and together we had a fabulous clear round. Out of a strong field of 80 competitors, we finished 13th. A perfect start and a real boost of motivation for the upcoming classes.
Saturday – 1.25 m: A Breakthrough Podium Finish
Saturday was intense. With starting number 98, I was one of the last riders in the 1.25 m class – and at 13 years old, the youngest participant in the entire field. The atmosphere was electric, and the competition impressive.
Then something happened I will never forget: King jumped confidently and smoothly, and we were in sync every metre of the course – I was able to take tighter turns, making up valuable time. In the end, we celebrated an incredible 3rd place!
Here’s the official press report from Ecuestre.es:
Sunday – 1.30 m: Season Debut
Sunday brought the highlight: the 1.30 m class. My first time competing at this height in a big tournament this year. With 119 riders, it was the largest field of the weekend – and again, I was the youngest rider.
The course was challenging, technical, and demanding. We had a really good rhythm, but unfortunately one silly pole at an oxer. We finished 56th – a result I’m very happy with. This round showed me that we are ready for the next steps.
Conclusion – A Weekend to Remember
Seville gave us everything: excitement, emotions, progress, and above all unforgettable moments. I am incredibly proud of King, who performed consistently well on all three days and proved once again what an exceptional horse he is.
This tournament remains an important milestone for us – and makes me incredibly excited about what comes next.
