From November 28 to 30, 2025, the Balearic Show Jumping Championships returned to Mallorca - and for me, they carried a special kind of pressure and excitement. I competed as the defending champion in the Children 1* category and was determined to deliver another strong performance with King. What followed were three days of intense focus, thrilling rounds, and a final that left everyone breathless.

A Confident Title Defense in the Making
King felt incredible from day one. Fresh (sometimes even a little too fresh), focused, and completely in his element, he gave me everything I needed to stay competitive against a strong field.
On the first day of the long weekend, we opened the championship with a clear round and a 3rd place - the perfect way to settle into the competition.
The next day, we delivered another faultless round. This time finishing 2nd and climbing even closer to the top of the leaderboard.
Championship Day – Two Riders, One Title and a Thrilling Jump-Off
The championship round required absolute precision. One mistake would cost everything. But King and I found our rhythm instantly. We stayed composed, fast, and focused - and finished the round clear once again.
Only two riders made it through without faults: the defending champion (me) and one strong competitor. That meant: jump-off.
The arena went silent as I entered for the deciding round. King gave me all the power and adjustability I could ask for. We risked, we pushed, we stayed clear — but in the end, just one and a half seconds separated us from the gold.
And so, after four flawless rounds, we proudly won the silver medal.

Podiums Everywhere & A Team Medal on Top
Across the championship weekend, King and I brought home:
3rd place - Children 1* 1.10 m class, November 28
2nd place - Children 1* 1.10 m class, November 29
2nd place - Team Ranking
2nd place - Championship Final Children 1* 1.15 m class, November 30
Four clear rounds. Three trophies. One silver championship title. A result that means just as much to me as a victory - because it represents consistency, trust, and true partnership.

Looking Ahead – Off to the MET!
There’s no time to rest: in just one week, we head to the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (MET) in Oliva, Valencia - the final big highlight of the season. This time, I’ll compete not only with King but also with my new horse, O’Brian van Rinsma State, for the first time - and I cannot wait to see what this next chapter brings.
